Who we are
At Return to Eden Fellowship, our mission is to invite all people into a life of sacred rest, joyful purpose, and radical compassion reclaiming the peace and abundance of God’s original creation.
We believe that life is not meant to be dominated by toil, consumerism, or constant striving, but lived in harmony with God, neighbor, and the earth. Rooted in the example of Jesus and the vision of Eden, we seek to build a community where every person is nourished, known, and free to flourish.
Through worship, shared meals, mutual aid, and connection with the land, we walk together on the path back to wholeness and a world where love replaces labor, grace outweighs grind, and all creation is restored.
What we believe
We believe God never intended for life to be consumed by labor-for-profit. As part of our commitment to reclaiming the joy and balance of creation, we require all members to embrace a four-day work week, reserving three sacred days for renewal. These are not simply “days off,” but essential rhythms of Edenic living: one day for true rest, one day for soulful fulfillment, and one day for life-giving tasks that sustain our homes and communities.
The Day of Rest is for stillness, prayer, and spiritual replenishment; a Sabbath in the fullest sense. The Day of Fulfillment is for joyful pursuits that nourish the soul: helping neighbors, creating art, playing with your children, or basking in God’s creation. And the Day of Care is set aside for tending to life’s responsibilities: gardening, mending, organizing, or preparing meals. These acts are held not as burdens, but as acts of love and stewardship. In choosing this rhythm, we resist the culture of overwork and step into a life of purpose, presence, and peace.
